Nice - I would prehaps look to change the HDD's

SSD - change to a SLC instead of a MLC - more reliable and longer read / write capability before failure.

Perhaps upgrade the HDD's to the new ones that would run at 6GBs the same as the motherboard you have mentioned.

Otherwise it is a nice system.

^ Well SLC is better but it has a very high price premium attached to it...and also even these MLCs do have good life...the SLCs drives are more suited in server environments rather than Desktops...

As for the config, Yes it is a very good one...
Will you be overclocking for sure ? and also till what levels ? Max 4GHz ? Or above ?

I doubt that 850W would suffice for 2x HD 5970s...you would need a 1000W if you plan to add another 5970....but if it is highly unlikely, then that 850W is more than enough...
And you might have to do some adjustments with that case(I think you would have to remove the lower HDD cage) to fit in that 5970 as it is pretty long...
There are many other cases which can fit the 5970 but might not be compatible with that PSU as that is a CPX form factor, that only fits in Antec 1200/ P183/ P193...

Probably stick with what's in the config. As gkay09 said, has a very high price. If before the order I still have money I will think about it, thanks :).

Is there a big difference in price between SLC and MLC?

At the moment a low levels because I'm still new in that area ;).

Just 1 HD 5790

If that case is going to be a problem, es the P193 or P183 good cases for this config? If so, is there a big difference between those to models (P193 - P183)?

Thanks again for the help, I appreciate it.

Yes there is a huge price difference between SLC and MLC...
$384 for 32GB

And like I said, for desktops, MLC is better suited...

RAM - IMO you are spending more than what is required...You wont need the RedLine memory...If you were into high overclocks, then those are good but for starters, these are as good...
Corsair DDR3 1600MHz CAS 7 - You wont notice any difference between these and the redline in real world apps...

PSU and CASE...
I know for sure that this case will fit the HD 5970 without any mod

PSU for that HD 5970

If you are gaming @1920x1080, then a 5870 or even a 5850 is better on a price/performance basis. Should you really want top performance, go XFire from the start with them. An eventual XFire with 5970 will demand 1000W PSU, though. In any case, I suggest Corsair instead of Antec.
Algo, get a bigger case. The best one in terms of space is Obsidian800. It does not have firewire, but in the end, who actually uses it?

Thanks alot for all the information. It's really a great help comparing one thing from another. After some investigation I made a new configuration which will save me some money for other components :).

Here goes, hope everything es correct:

CPU: Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80605I7860 - Retail

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD4P LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard w/ USB 3.0 & SATA 6 Gb/s - Retail

HSF: COOLER MASTER Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7 compatible RR-B10-212P-GP 120mm "heatpipe direct contact" Long life sleeve CPU ... - Retail

PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail

GPU: XFX HD-587A-ZNF9 Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card ... - Retail

DVD: LITE-ON Black 24X DVD Writer Black SATA Model iHAS424-98 LightScribe Support - Retail

CASE: Antec P183 Black Aluminum / Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EARS 1TB 5400 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Or

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green WD10000CSRTL 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Retail

Whats the difference between these 2 HDD? I know one es 5400 RPM and other 7200 RPM but they also differ in cache. What difference could there be in normal usage?

Probably getting:

SSD: Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2MH080G2XXX 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - OEM

Appreciate the help guys and gals :). Hope this configuration is good. Please reconfigure if something is out of place or need to change something.

The 850 is too much power. Get the Antec True Power between 650 and 750 watts will be plenty for 2x's 5870's.

Case Over Priced stick with either the Antec 900, Antec 902, or HAF922.

Wrong Ram for the 860 it uses duel channel you will need 4 or 8 gigs.

Is the cooler the Hyper 212 plus if so it is a good cooler if not not exactly sure which one you are getting.

HDD's....WHY oh Why did ya switch....lol Those WD HDD are not as good as the original Spinpoint due to the fact that the Spinpoint uses a 500 GB platter and I believe those use 320 or 250 platters. Stick with Seagate 7200.12 or the Spinpoint F3 series. If you need to have WD there is a Sata 6 drive that has 500GB platters but is 40 bucks more and does not really outpreform the previously mentioned by much.

Hope this helped.

GREAT HELP OSU43130. After reading a few articles and forums now I know some differences between what I´ve chose wrong and the correct components you´ve posted. The 6 gig rams was a technical error in my config. Didn´t realized it after your post xD.

Lets see now if this configuration is the right one ;). Let´s see if I´m missing something or not.

The 922 is about the biggest Mid Tower available and possibly one of the best cases on the market for 90 bucks.

And I meant to say I would NOT get the 932. Sorry typo.

I imagined you wanted to say that but not 100% sure hehehehe. I was looking at that case and if it's a good case and cheaper than case will be xD.

Thanks again OSU43130

Not the best thing to look at but what the hell It sits under my desk....lol

Hahahaha, we aren´t into modding or anything like that. I´m not looking for something fancy or anything plus I also have my Case under my desk xDDD. I just want something good and QUITE! xD.

@Elegidos the new config that you have come up with is also good...
But if you will be adding another HD 5870 later on, then you should get a different board like this one...
ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131621

Reason - Check this...
The USB 3.0/ SATA 6GB/s implementation is not as good as the ASUS
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/usb-3.0-performance,2490.html

Intel SSD - Retail version cheaper at amazon...
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Mainstream-Retail-Package-SSDSA2MH080G2R5/dp/B002IJA1EG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1268195851&sr=8-1

And as for CASE, IMO HAF 922 would be my 1st choice...

And why not stick with Intel i7 930 and X58 ? IMO for a powerful dual card setup like HD 5870, that is better...
If you want a cheaper yet good mobo option, then check this mobo...And AFAIK most of the updates are coming to the X58 boards only...
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423

But its your call though...
