Hi Fellas,

Please check my build and give some advice about my build and what parts can be replace with better parts with reasonable price.

A Little about myself: Have some experience on how to build PC (have done many times). But lack the knowledge on picking the right parts for right use with the right price.

OverClock Skill: atm it's big fat 0 Zerooooo!!! lol but will learn how to OC as it will greatly improve performance of pc.

Use: For Gaming Only. Mostly MMO with with hundreds of players on screen at same time (such as Aion, and upcoming Archeage). And Single player game as DragonAge 3 and Witcher 3 etc.

Expectation: Gaming at all setting max out with Fps around 60 and above (All Single Player shouldn't give me any problem; however MMO with hundreds of player on screen at same time I don't mind if fps drop a little , just being realistic >_>").

Philosophy: I do expect this build to last me 4-5 years with minor upgrade (such as SLI or add extra Memory). And I can upgrade parts to a more expensive part if it is reasonable to do so (such as greatly increase of performance, but will not jump from a part say $300 to $700, only exception is Video Card).

Brand: Will accept any brands (do like Evga and Asus better).

Don't care about how pc look Only care about performance.

Already Have Monitor: Acer HN274H (with 3D).

Sound Card: sound blaster x-fi titanium HD

Speaker: Logitech z906

SSD: samsung 1t ssd

these are the parts I'll take from my current PC and put it on the new build.

Here are some of my questions: (All Questions are based on my Use and Expectation). Open to all parts and brands which I haven't mention.

Both Motherboard and Video Card confuse me the most which they all seems identical yet hv soooooo many choice to buy such as GTX 780 Ti.

Motherboard: Asus Z97-DELUXE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ; Asus MAXIMUS VII FORMULA ; Asus Maximus VI Extreme and EVGA Z97 Classified are all on my mind, but don't really know which one is better for me. Checked newegg video on the Asus z97 deluxe and extreme both seems like a good choice but which one is better for gaming and OC (base on my understanding Asus z97 deluxe have "easy OverClock" which will make oc alot easier)? And since I already have a Sound Card, I don't really care if a motherboard have sound improvement feature as it doesn't affect me.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor seems like it's the best cpu under $500 can't find anything better (or is it)?

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2666 Memory to my understanding "2666" is the speed of memory higher it is faster memory is. such as Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory VS Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2666 outcome would be Corsair Vengeance Pro Series would win because it's "2666" which is higher than "1866"
And for Memory will only buy 16gb for now , can always add 16g more later if need.

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive not much to say guess it's the best SSD for it's price

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Matrix Video Card ,and EVGA 03G-P4-3887-KR Classified K|NGP|N Edition not sure which one to get but my friend insists that Asus is better than EVGA and suggest that I get Asus card instead.
Would want a Video Card price range between $700-$1000 and will only buy $1400 video card if 2x$700 can't beat that single $1400 video card.

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 1300W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply don't understand why price different so much just a power supply....(to my understanding anyway). Now if it's efficiency difference I would argue that it's the difference to pay more now and pay less later or pay less now and pay more later. Anyhow would want a power supply that is above 1000W as I will use Sli down the road.

Case: Cooler Master Cosmos II (Black) ATX Full Tower Case Or Rosewill BLACKHAWK-ULTRA
Currently have Cooler Master HAF X - High Air Flow Full Tower but quality seems a little low. Would want a big case think it will help with the air flow( I don't mind carry or clean a big case).

CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler because it fit Cooler Master Cosmos II (Black) ATX Full Tower Case on the top >_>"

Thank you guys for reading please give some suggestions on my build. Feel free to change any parts for better fit or even whole set up. I'm open to any changes as long as it fit my Use and Expectation.

XD

PS. I won't buy this setup until early october so is there any other parts I should wait for? such as new video card ,cpu , or motherboard?

1000 watts is plenty if you want to sli in the future. The case is totally up to you. A mid tower will do fine but i included a full tower in case you want to do some water cooling in the future.

Since you mentioned your not buying until October i would wait for the nvidia 800 series gpu's.
