Hey guys,

I've recently built a new gaming PC with pretty decent parts, however, for some games such as GTA or BF1/BF5 and even Ghost Recon, I can barely get 60 FPS during explosions or actions

Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 7700T @ 2.90GHz

GPU: GTX 1070 ZOTAC

RAM: 8 GB DDR4 @ 1200mhz

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H110-D3A-CF

Was wondering if you can help... thanks!

What is the manufacturer and model of your PSU? Also, what could be causing bad FPS is having a single stick of RAM. I suppose the best thing I'd suggest is to get another stick of 8GB RAM. To avoid any problems, get the same make and model too. When you run 2 stick of RAM in dual channel, they effectively run at double the speed as they have twice as much bandwidth.

That's not a high end PC, more of a lower end mid range PC for gaming.

You will have to adjust the settings in the games to get the FPS you need.

Also it is NORMAL for the frame rates to drop when there is more going on in the game.
