[SOLVED] High End PC running like garbage - plz help - THOUSANDS of event warnings an hour

I have a pretty decently high end PC that I built.

It's running like absolute garbage and I can't figure out why.

I'm getting THOUSANDS of warnings in event viewer - Any one super knowledgeable about these that could possibly assist?

1st - list full specs of your system.

2nd - did you install windows yourself?
What windows version?
Did you install all the necessary drivers? Chipset drivers especially?

check if you have all latest driver and chipset for this system also the version of bios that support your cpu on the motherboard .

CPU - i7 11700k
MOBO - Aorus PRO z590 AX
Memory - 32gb DDR4 3200
GPU - ROG STRIX 3080ti Liquid Cooled
SSD - Samsung 980 PRO NME2 Drive

Windows 10 - self installed
I believe all the pertinent stuff has been installed and updated.
Currently on BIOS version F7

Now by drivers for chipset, are we talking the specific CPU drivers for the 11700k ?

I believe thats up to date.

check if you have all latest driver and chipset for this system also the version of bios that support your cpu on the motherboard .

i THINK i have the correct driver. and my bios is version F7 which is one of the newer ones. I think they are on F8 or maybe 9 by now. But it was updated from factory default upon install at least.

Yep - Just updated them too. Still getting the same error. By the hundreds.

Pretty sure everything is updated at this point and still getting same error by the bucketfull. Dozens per second of the same error

No yellow marks at all. everything seems fine there.

EDIT - also updated to the newest BIOS version f9a - still same errors.

Do you still get these errors if you remove the graphics card and run on the internal graphics supplied by the intel chip?

name and model of psu also did you plug in the 8 and 4 pins connrctor from it to motherboard since this board have 3 pci-e slot did you try the gpu in the 2 others to se if error appears .

I really was hoping it was a driver issue. I have a watercooled card. And it's on a special rise with a riser extension cable.
I unplugged the card and ran it on the built in GPU slot on the mobo. No error.
Pulled the cable and riser extention and plugged the card directly into the mobo. Boom no errors.
Downside, had to rebuild the entire case setup. Little less than ideal tube management now. But it's error free.

You didn't mention anything about riser cables before.
On PCIE 4.0 system with PCIE 4.0 graphics card, riser cable also needs to be PCIE 4.0 compatible.

You obviously have PCIE 3.0 compatible cable (not PCIE 4.0 certified).
Using such cable in PCIE 4.0 system produces instability and errors.

There is a workaround though. You can force PCIE slot into PCIE 3.0 operation mode (in BIOS).
Then it's fine to use PCIE 3.0 riser cable.

Just wanted to say appreciate it, I had this exact same problem with my new RTX 4090 on a riser card. I had thought it might be a PCIE 3.0 riser card, CPU-Z and GPU-Z both indicated that it was, but was getting a ton of these errors. Knocked it down to PCIE 3.0 in BIOS and errors went away. PCIE 4.0 riser cable inbound, will be here in a couple of days.
