Hi there, I have a problem recently I have upgraded to an i7 4790k with a Asus Z97-P Motherboard, from a AMD 4300 CPU so it is a huge upgrade. But my PC started to under perform like hell... The most played game by me is CS : GO , with my old build i had 150-250 fps on 1024x768 res , now i barely get 120 fps... I tried updating the bios, that didnt help, updated all GPU drivers = nope... I even re installed Win 8.1 still = nope... Is there anything else I could do ?
The whole build is -
CPU - i7 4790
GPU - Asus Nvidia GTX 770 2gb
RAM - Corsair 8 GB - 1600 Mhz
HDD 1 - Seagate 2 TB
SSD 1 - Ocz Agility 120 gb
PSU - Be Quiet 730W / Bronze
I have originally posted the same thing 3 days ago and the problem fixed it self but that was just a matter of 3-4 hours when it gone back to being really bad again... I have no idea what the hell is going on with the setup, i have updated everything there is; including sound, windows, gpu, sata, usb ect.. ect..
If anyone has any idea what could be the problem please help ! 🙁 I have contacted the retailer and they said to contact Intel for a CPU replacement, but obviously that takes time to come, so im still sat here trying to figure out any solution or what could be the cause of this under performing setup... so if anyone has any ideas or thoughts please reply . Thanks, Rob.
