Question High End PC with Low FPS!

Hi, I have been having low fps issues for a while now. I just downloaded and ran GTA V, and it was literally unplayable. I will try different overclocks and fixes tmr, if that doesn't work I will reload W10.

Specs:
I5-6600K
ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1070 Gaming OC 8GB
1 Corsair 8GB + 2 Kingston 4GB
MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X (MS-7A11)
COOLER MASTER ELITE V2

Make sure that all your drivers are up to date! I find that to be the most common cause for low FPS.

I used DDU to uninstall old driver, and install fresh ones, no help

Your monitor is plugged directly into a port on the back of your GTX 1070, and not into one on your motherboard, right?

Have you checked the temperatures for your graphics card and CPU while running the game?

What dimms are those memory sticks populated in?

I have fixed the GTA V
First I optimized windows
Then I took out 1 odd stick, leaving 2
I turned on XMP and game boost



I don't know if any of those fixed it

But turning ON vsync in-game took my game from struttering and freezing to smooth, I get 70-144 FPS now, avg is 120 but most of the time I get 144.
