I recently upgraded my computer with an i7-4790k. I launched up Killing Floor 2, then set most of my settings to max (shadows and AO being the exception) Wanting to try out what my CPU can do, I started to play on some of the most busiest maps in the game, however, I noticed something was very, very off. Whenever I panned the camera around, the smoothness of the game would feel extremely sluggish, despite me running MSI Afterburner to monitor my FPS. My frames were fluctuating between 80-120, and again, it didn't feel fluid at all no matter what the FPS counter told me. This doesn't just occur in Killing Floor 2, this happens in every single game I play: Overwatch, Gigantic, Warhammer: End Times Vermintide, etc.. I've tried several times to adjust settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, Nvidia Inspector and this problem still persists. Yes, I have Vsync off in all of these games, and am using a 144hz monitor with a DVI-D cable (I ordered a Displayport cable two days ago hoping that'll fix the issue). At this point, I'm utterly lost, burned out, and desperately seek constructive answers.
Another thing, this problem never showed its ugly head when I had my old processor (i5 2400).
