Hello all. I have an original RTX 3080. As in the non light hash rate, 10GB version they very first came out with. I'm the original owner and bought it brand new. About a couple months ago, I started running Hardware Monitor on my second monitor while I game. I noticed that while the general temp stays around the mid to high 70's, the memory temp will be in the high 90's and have seen a max of 102 C. Hot Spot temp I don't think gets above the mid 90's, if I remember correctly. But I was just concerned with the memory temps appearing high.

This does happen more so in GPU heavy workloads like triple AAA single player titles. But will reach high temps in esport FPS titles like CS2 and OW2, which I keep both at low settings for the highest FPS possible and still see high memory temps.

Thank you

You should consider repasting the GPU as well as replacing the thermal pads for something higher in quality. Across the years the cooler would've accumulated dust and debris that would be impeding heat dissipation so a deep clean of that would also help two fold.

Okay. That was exactly what I was looking for. I was wondering if it was a time to or a general good idea to take it apart and just do some upkeep on the card. Plus, I'd like to upgrade in the next generation or so. So a good refresh would be good for the next owner as well. Thanks!
