Hi i have rx 470 nitro+ 8gb.
I got if before eth craze on a sale for price of 4gb model. Any way i decided i will use my gpu to mine eth and sia when i' m not using it since i dont turn it off anyway my current oc is 1400 mhz on core with 1.175v and 2190 on memory without oc mem controler or adding voltage to mem.
Now my fans go above 2000rpm when mining (average temp is 83C according to gpz-z (6h tracking) max being 87.
I have removed fan dust filter and front panel on my nzxt s340 and i m using both fans for intake (if i remove side panel i avg 77c but dont feel ok with that) i dont care about noize during day but i sleep in that room and it is fucking anoing...
Any way to get lower rpm without adding to much temp?

Solution
No, because you are mining it is working hard, therefore needs cooling. You could try liquid, but all that is really doing is moving the heat elsewhere.
use liquid cooling if you want it to be silent.there is no way to reduce temp and reducing fan speed at the same time.only way i can see the fan going slower while maintaining a cool temp is removing your oc.or opening up your case to let more air in which off course will invites dust as well.

Liquid will not make it silent, you are just moving the fans from the GPU to a radiator where they have to work harder, a custom loop might be quieter, and AIO probably not.

forgot to mention the custom loop(which i always use).however if he want some peace and quiet while his pc is mining best solution is to sleep in another room.=p

Agreed, hope the PSU is up to 24x7 high load.

Psu is not ideal but is not low quality eather - antec hcg 620w). I plan to up spend my cryptos on vega gpus when they come out and will most likely go with seasonic or evga supernova 1000w+
