Question high gpu temp

so i just built a pc recently and my gpu temp is 85c+ while gaming but cpu is fine, air flow seems fine, using crystal 280x. i have 2 120 fans in front for intake and 1 120 above cpu as exhaust. gpu is evga rtx 2080 xc, the idle temps are fine.

85C isn't terrible, but if you want to lower the temps you'll probably have to put up with more fan noise. See if Evga Pecision offers the option to set a better fan curve.

my fans are set to 100 after 80c. most other peoples rtx 2080s seem to be in the low 70s

Get some fans in your case, else the temps are fine!

You have your gfx card's fans at 100% when the temps get above 80C? If so, that is about all you can do with the card. Are you in a warm climate?

You could try to go even more aggressive on the curve, like 100% @ 70. Just to see if it helps at all. If not you may want to add some more fans, or better fans, in the case for extra airflow.

Try cooling more as the heat is building start about 40-50c 40-50%
50-60c 70-80% then 70c 100%
