Question High GPU temperature since updating driver ?

I updated my laptop's GPU driver and it's description has changed from "AMD FirePro" to "AMD Radeon R7 265 Series", and now every time i plug in my laptop my GPU temperature starts rising.

What Should i Do?

What is the actual gpu in your laptop? GO to AMD Drivers and Support for Radeon, Radeon Pro, FirePro, APU, CPU, Ryzen, desktops, laptops Click on Professional graphics, fire pro, and then your model Firepro gpu. Then install those drivers. See if it corrects the problem.

Since it's a laptop, I would advise you to only use the drivers that your laptop manufacturer supplies on it's support website.

Hey I have I-7 5500U 2.4GHz CPU and AMD FirePro M4170
and lately i've noticed that my fan is running heavy all the time and my gpu temperature is getting above 70C° even when there are nothing opened but when i unplug my charger the GPU temp just goes down to 40-50C°
what can i do to stop my gpu from overclocking?
