High GPU temperature??

When I play FarCry 4, my MSI GTX 970 is hitting 78-80 Celsius. It seems really high, at least from a CPU standpoint. My CPU has around 40 Celsius.

Graphics cards usually run at high temperatures during full load. As long as your temperature doesn't go higher than 80 and you aren't experiencing any throttling, you should be fine.

I agree with Jared, often times the gpu temps will be higher than cpu temps and is considered normal (within reason). They're basically like a secondary cpu dedicated solely to graphics and heat up rather quickly. They also don't tend to have the same level of cooling in comparison to a cpu.
