High GPU usage

Hi guys and gals, so I have a question, but first some background. I have i5 3.4ghz as cpu, and Radeon HD 7970 3gb as gpu. My test game here is Medal Of Honor warfighter because the problem seems to be only in that game. So is it normal that with those components my gpu usage is 98-100%, and i get 60-120 fps, when every other game it is steady 60 and the usage is in the middle of 50-80 %? And also I'm very new here so don't hate me for not knowing something, thanks!

Do you have VSync turned on in your other games? And do you have it turned off in MOH?

If the answer is yes to both then that would explain what you are seeing. VSync locks your framerate at your monitor's refresh (which I assume is 60 Hz?), so if you have it turned on in your other games your GPU will only render a maximum of 60 FPS, even if it is capable of more. If VSync is off, your GPU will render as many frames as it can and its usage will get as close to 100% as possible to do that.

Haven't thought of that, but then again I didn't even know about Vsync. Is the Vsync option available in all games or just some? Because I haven't seen such thing in some games where I wonder around the visual/ graphic settings.

Not every game will support Vsync.
To use Vsync in such games you'll need to go to the Catalyst Control Centre. There, enable it from the 3D options under the Gaming tab. You can produce a profile for each game or set it to on globally, according to taste. It's usually best to make changes ingame rather than the drivers BTW.
Another option is to use Radeonpro and set profiles there.
As a point of interest, some older games can run at insane frame rates without either Vsync or by applying a frame rate cap through Radeonpro, applying either still allows fluid gameplay but quietens the GPU cooler very nicely. 😉
