Hey all

I have an ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition MB and Intel i7-4930K running under Corsair H100i AIO cooler with Corsair HX850 PSU. with the MB there is an OC Panel that shows the temps and CPU fan speed. On idle temps are between 40 and 50 even when power saver mode in enabled in windows. I'm running SpeedFan to control my case fans and monitor temps except for the H100i fans. I use Corsair Link to control those. And lately the system keeps crashing with becoming non responsive with a black screen from time to time and I have to hard reset it, that happens when I put the power settings to balanced or high performance without any indication of the system crashing of high temps.
Also, in the bios I have XMP turned on but no CPU OC.

Any Ideas why the high temps at idle and why the system crashes?

My system is similar and i have idles about 35 degrees. I have a very carefully set up fan arrangement so that's the difference. the H00i is not a miracle cooler its good for the money but not amazing. That being said at 1005 load i rarely pass 65. the best way to improve your performance is probably to adjust your fan curve and perhaps consider new fans
