High internet data useage

average 200 - 300 per day, replaced Lenovo Laptop with HP Laptop, usage spiked to 5 Gb day. Pulled HP, placed Lenovo, usage back to normal, what can be the issue?

open up the task manager and see what its doing also look under network and see what the number says like percent usage

That wouldn't put you anywhere close to 5GB. There would have to be a virus or torrent running on the laptop using that data, or a neighbor found your wifi password and streaming netflix or youtube from your network.
