[SOLVED] High latency and Slow downloads

Hi guys I've searched everywhere and found nothing.....

So starting about 5 days ago at roughly 5pm my ping spikes on servers. I usually get 30ms regardless of peak time and download rate stays about 40mbps upload 10mbps. now recently it has been between 100ms-130ms after 5pm and download rates on speedtest have been 4mbps.

However when i check my download rates on steam i still get roughly 40mbps.

speedtests are not that good for testing your bandwidth, if download rates are still fine, all is good

maybe reinstall the lan driver and eventually restart the modem (unplug power, press power button for about 20seconds, wait another minute and power on again)
