Hello guys!

I have one problem and I would appreciate if anyone could give me any suggestions :l

I have bought PC and Wi-Fi Adaptor 300Mbps (802.11n) to get it connected to internet. Everything works fine, but when I play games my latency jumps high and it's frustrating.

I thought it could be interference because I am renting a room in three bedroom flat and there are alot of another networks, but no luck.
Could it be poor signal? I googled up how to improve wireless performance and found "Wi-Fi Repeater/Extender" , but other people say that it won't work because signal has to travel from Router to Extender to PC and it would make things worse.
Another thing, I have a laptop in the same room and I have no problems with it, when I play games latency is stable.. could it be hardware? Or just bad Wifi Adaptor? I would go wired, but it is quite a problem, because Router is two rooms away from my room (about 6-8metres thru two walls).

Thank you very much for your suggestions! (sorry for my bad english, not my native language).

First of all, to play any games that are connected to the Internet like MMORPG, first person shooting or RTS games, it is best to connect your PC to the router via a network cable that guarantees no signal interference and much lower latency than any wireless connection.

In your situation, interference is the issue. Nowadays, almost every house runs a wireless router; at least that's in my neighbor. In a apartment or condo, the situation could be worse because many wireless routers can be present at one place. So another Wi-Fi Repeater/Extender won't work and may even make the situation worse.

For that laptop working normally, it could be that it's got a more compatible wireless network adapter with the existing router, but it's...
