High Memory and Disk Usage Windows 10

1 week old laptop (Inspiron 14) with specs:
Core i5 6200u
4gb ddr3 memory
AMD r5 M315
500 Gb HDD

I'm having problems with high memory and disk usage. Your help is highly appreciated

Hey there, Reehgeaux!

I'd recommend you disable some Windows Services and see if that will resolve these high usage percentages. Try this:
press Windows+R -> Write services.msc -> Disable
1-Super fetch
2-Windows Search
3-Background Intelligent Transfer Service

Hope this will improve the performance and usage!

Its probably windows defender, i had an older system with a very slow disk and when i had windows defender live protection enabled it would sometimes eat up disk usage

Look up KB3083595. I searched in regedit for Standard SATA AHCI Controller, then changed key value from 1 to 0. just follow the article. This fixed my SSD and  ram high usage issues.
