High Memory Usage 80%+ - Nothing open

My memory/RAM usage is always above 90% sometimes it goes down to 50% then sky rockets again. I've went to task manager and chose "Show all processes from all users" and it just doesn't add up. I have 8 GB of memory, its a 1tb hard drive (though I don't think that might affect it.) My cpu is always around 20% - 30% (still not sure if this has anything to do with it but I'm providing information that'll help me solve this.) I've done a lot of searches on the interwebs to find a solution, found a few that worked for others, not me. I have windows 10, my pc is on 24/7. Its been like this for a year and nothing has gone wrong. Of course I turn it off once in a while and give it a few days to rest-up I guess. I had my pc for the past 3 years, working perfectly.

I've tried a ton of things, so chances are, if you found a popular topic with my problem, I've probably tried it. Though, I'll be glad to try anything at this point, even things I've already tried. Please suggest solutions and help me solve this problem, would mean a lot.

Okay. I'm no longer using Windows 7 or 8, but I'm pretty sure there are two different kinds of Task Manager application lists. Applications and Processes, I believe. Make sure that you're looking at both sections for things.

This is a case for Resource Monitor. Task Manager does a poor job of showing memory used by OS applications/services, while Resource Monitor will show resource usage from every program running. You're looking for the Working amount of memory in use.

I've already tried ccleaner yesterday, didn't help sadly. Just found something new, as soon as memory (randomly) drops to 47-50% for about 30 seconds before going back up to 80%+, the disc is at 99% which makes no sense at all.

Here's another screenshot with resource monitor.

Says 4987mb being used but there's no logic in that from the memory being used..

No, there's nothing further down that's using up more than 5mb... 753mb is the highest.

It's just my user on the pc, no guest or anyone else.

Alright, I'll get back to this post in a few minutes. Will go ahead and uninstall chrome.

Okay.

Uninstalling chrome didn't do anything http://i.imgur.com/HMsdg94.png

Alright, thanks for trying to help :/.

Yeah just disabled cortana since I don't use it, no luck still.

Your guess may be partially correct but you're on the right track!. My memory is averaging 45-55% now and on rare occassions reach heights of 70% max. This little guess have made my PC much faster. Do you know any other essentials installed with windows 10 that I don't really need to use? Chrome is used most often than any other apps.

It still says 5000mb being used in resource monitor but the percentage of memory being used dropped down to 50% averaging

EDIT: Just saw it hit 90% for 5 seconds, its much more often on the 50% mark after disabling cortana.

The high memory usage still remained a problem after multiple attempted tries of fixing it. I did my Google'ing to find every solution, none. Just to test if it was a hardware problem, I've reset my windows (Remove all apps + personal files) as if it I just got a new PC. Good news, it wasn't a hardware problem so if anyone can't find a solution that's your last option. Since it's not a hardware issue but software there should be a fix for this eventually but for now, that's the solution I found.

if i say the updaters are not much needed and itunes too plus use the windows 10 debloater it basiccaly removes all preinstalled stuff that is not nessary at all and unwanted registry files and others
