Hi everybody!

My PCH temperature is 65°C, while others is about 40°C while idle, as you can see in that picture: http://kepfeltoltes.hu/view/150523/pch_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png

Because of the temperature of the PCH (i think so) the fan works continously, it is fully cleaned, so that can't be a problem. One of the HDD's goes warm, too, reaches 50°C sometimes. The laptop is a Lenovo G500. This problem occured two weeks ago, before that, the fan worked rarely, now even if I am doing nothing, the fan works.

I would like to ask, where is the PCH diode and what can be the problem?

Many thanks for your help!

I did it already, that's way the cpu and gpu is not hot. Otherwise the CPH is on the other side, under the keyboard, so the fan isn't really cooling it.

Because cooling in a very tightly packaged laptop is critical, these things maybe designed with very close tolerances.

I will bet when you opened it, you may have inadvertently moved a flap, a heat-conducting membrane, or something that directed the air through the PCH, which now doesn't.
