Hi all,

I am looking for a good performance laptop with good heat management and less noise.

My usage wil be mainly:
  1. Google chrome - Multiple tabs
  2. MS office 4 docs at a time
  3. Android Studio
  4. Photoshop
  5. AutoCAD
I will be using Chrome, Android Studio and Photoshop at the same time.

My budget is 900 to 1000 CAD (690 - 770 USD)

I have shortlisted one model but it has HDD. Hence confused. I think HDD is slower than SSD and will make noise and generate heat. (Correct me if wrong)

The model is:
HP Pavilion 15CS0093CA
i7 8550U
12 GB DDR4 SDRAM
16GB Intel optane memory
1 TB HDD
2 GB GeForce MX150 Graphics Card
Touch screen display
Backlit keyboard.

I didn't find reviews only. Hence confused should I go for this or the one with SSD to fulfil my application requirements.

I would be happy to hear any other suggestions to serve my purpose.

Thanks guys.

Performance vs heat/noise are oxymorons. Harder running machines will generate more heat hence faster (nosier) fan to evacuate heat, can't fight physics. All u can hope for is a more efficient venting system but don't expect miracles. The latest generation of 15" gaming laptops with open grills on the bottom and many heat pipes, like offering from MSI, seems sweet and I am ignoring $$$.

Dedicated GPU will add to heat, but maybe your Autocad requires it, I don't know, do u require smooth 3D modeling?

Sorry am no salesman, nor am on the market for such laptop, just throwing out my 0.02.
