Question High Performance Power Plan causes 4k youtube videos to stutter ?

• AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7800 XT
• 1TB Crucial T500 Gen 4 SSD
• Corsair RM850x PSU
• MSI Tomahawk B650 WIFI motherboard
• Montech Air Max 903 case
• Deepcool AK620 CPU cooler

I recently experienced an issue where 4K videos were stuttering on my system. I found a thread on AMD's forums where someone with a similar issue suggested switching the power plan back to "Balanced." This resolved the problem for me. However, the moment I switch back to high performance power plan, the stuttering on YouTube returns.


Does anyone know what might be causing this ?

Hey there,

If you're using Chrome, try disabling hardware acceleration. See if that helps.

Also try disabling Windows hardware acceleration GPU scheduling and see if that helps.
