High Ping when gaming and watching YouTube Videos with 90 down 15 up

My current internet speeds according to the xfinity speed test is 90 down and 15 up. Whenever I am playing video games and watching YouTube videos at the same time my ping will always spike, even when the video isn't at HD resolution.

WiFi or Ethernet? Packet loss off of WiFi could easily cause what you're describing.

Are there any friends/family using anything that is also on the Ethernet?

What are your system specs? It almost sounds like your system can't keep up with the demand. How about if you scale back the quality of the youtube videos? What is your router? Is it decent? Maybe it's the bottleneck.

Does you ping jump up and stay up or does it go up and down? And by ping , I mean something like "ping -t 8.8.8.8", not an in-game ping.
