So me and my brother are really excited for the release of a new Vanilla WoW server later today and we were planning to play together. We both have laptops. Mine's a pretty decent Acer, his is a pretty cheap Lenovo. We decided to give it a try before the official release so we took our laptops, placed them on our desks and went on to connect on another server. Here comes the problem. We both have ridiculously high ping and the game is basicly unplayable because of that. I'll have to mention that the laptops sit very close to each other and are both connected to the same wireless network. Now, if he takes the Lenovo to the other corner of the room, not too far away from the Acer, everything seems to work just fine. I have no idea what could be causing this and I'd really appreciate it if any of you guys have an answer. Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Solution
Where is the router / modem in relation to both when separated?

Two wifi latops close to each other...

I would monitor your router's Tx/Rx packet errors in the two situations.
