High pitched noise when LEDs are at full power

I'm not sure this is necessarily a problem, but it is a bit annoying and makes my PC louder overall, so I'd like to fix it if possible. Plus if it's an indication of something bad happening, that would be good to know.

I finished my build the other day and after a bit of troubleshooting I have the LEDs on the case, I'm able to control the LED strip, RAM, case light on the front, and motherboard lighting through Asus Aura. Which was how I discovered this new behavior. When I have the LEDs turned off, I just hear the fans, but when I turn them on, or slowly increase the brightness, there's this pretty faint, high pitched noise that gets louder as they get brighter, although it doesn't get much louder than the fans and is only really noticeable when I go from not having LEDs on to turning them on, or if I really listen for it.
Everything seems to be working properly besides that, but in case it's a symptom of a problem that I should fix, I figured I should try to figure out what's causing it.

Other Notes: Phanteks cases have a proprietary lighting system, so I had to buy an adapter that lets me connect the lighting from the case to the motherboard.
Sometimes the noise doesn't happen, even when the LEDs are at full brightness.
The sound kinda sounds like when a hard drive is spinning really fast.

The power supply is more then enough to power all that stuff. Sounds like they could be drawing too much power from how/where they are hooked up. I would give them their own dedicated cable(s) to the PSU. I'd also try disconnecting as many components as possible and then activate the LED's... slowly re-connecting things as you try and isolate a possible component causing conflicts.

Thanks, I'll try that out! Currently only the case lighting and a single RGB strip are connected to the LED header on the motherboard, which I have to do in order to control it with the Aura software. The motherboard and RAM lighting are done without any wiring on my part. I'll definitely try disconnecting and reconnecting things and see if I can find what's going on.

Asus Z370 with Phanteks Case - I was getting that whinning noise and it drove me nuts.

I had pruchased two additional led strips from NewEgg and daisy chained them all. This isn't the problem.
What is causing the whining is the Phanteks case/LED Strip must use the included 12v/RGB connecter - specifically the section of the connector that has the sticker attached to it that says 'Connect this connector with Phanetks Multi-Color LED Strips Only', plug this end into the phanteks led strip- you can now attach the other to the RGB motherboard port or connect it to your chain other LEDS.

My Noises went away immediately after doing this switch.
