Question High pitched squeaking from computer

All of a sudden my computer just started making this squeaking noise, like a high pitched squeal or whining type of thing. It just happens all the time, even when I have nothing opened. It will stop for a bit and then start up again. Should I be worried? Sounds like its coming from the CPU.

Could be one of your fan bearings going out, open up the case an use an empty paper towel tube to your ear to see if you can determine where it is coming from. If its your CPU heatsink fan it could cause your CPU to over-heat and shut down.
