High Quality IPS Monitor?

My Samsung monitor died over the weekend with a plume of white smoke coming out of the rear grill. It was enough to set off our smoke detector, and I immediately powered it off and unplugged it. Thank God I was home at the time the thing decided to go. It was about 5-6 years old, and I have sent Samsung a lengthy note about this, but I am now in need of a monitor.

Ideally, I would like to purchase a high-quality, IPS monitor, primarily for computing and watching high definition movies. I'm not a gamer, so I am not in need of a ROG type monitor, but, nevertheless, I would like to get the latest technology, best picture, highest resolution, etc. And, while I have no time to research monitors, I need to replace it ASAP. I am therefore hopeful that someone has some recommendations. Oh, and a nice, long warranty would be nice, too, if there is such a thing.

Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't call that the highest resolution available myself. Just a wider FHD screen.

3440x1440 if I were to buy an ultrawide right now.

Also "4K", really UltraHD, 3840x2160 to consider

And 5K, 5120x2880 available for 4K development.

Not a huge fan of the base, but it is reasonably priced:

There is this 32" which may or may not be out there for $700, but if you want immediate replacement it isn't an option:
Acer B326HK YMJDPPHZ

For a more reputable brand, head on over to Dell:

Thanks. I actually saw this on a list of "top" monitors. Looks like a really nice display. I am definitely considering it.
