High quality Ram for gaming Matter?

Hello, my frend have some question about Ram, his gaming rig is really fast, but with only generic ram type (1300 mhz) so, an Ram upgrade can increase the rig performance?

His rig:
Amd FX 8350 (4.2 ghz)
Corsair h105 push/pull
Msi 970 gaming mobo
Ram 16 gb 1300 mhz (generic, samsung?)
Radeon r9 290x saphire
Ssd in raid 0 (unknown gb s)
750w psu

1866/2133 is all he'd likely get with that setup... It'd help a tiny bit but honestly I wouldn't spend it... When u buy parts it makes sense sometimes to get faster memory as it sometimes is same price or really close... VERY rarely worth upgrading just for speed (not adding more)

In large part it depends on the games you play, some take to faster DRAM and can show performance increases of 10% or so, others will show little to no increase

i tried looking because i know i saw it somewhere at some point, some1 did a performance check on ram speeds, and it was mindblowingly unimportant
goin from 1300 to 2133 or even 2800 had virtually no real live effect on gaming performance
and cost to performance wise simply not worth the upgrade, its better spend in teh pile saving up for new better gpu another day since that will have the biggest performance increase

You have a duplicate post.
It seems that faster ram has minimal impact in gaming.
Here is a comparison with speeds from 1600 to 2400.
The impact on fps is in the low single digits.

And FWIW raid-0 for ssd is not so good.
Raid-0 has been over hyped as a performance enhancer.
Sequential benchmarks do look wonderful, but the real world does not seem to deliver the indicated performance benefits for most
desktop users. The reason is, that sequential benchmarks are coded for maximum overlapped I/O rates.
It depends on reading a stripe of data simultaneously from each raid-0 member, and that is rarely what we do.
The OS does mostly small random reads and writes, so raid-0 is of little use there.
There are some apps that will benefit. They are characterized by reading large files in a sequential overlapped manner.

Your friend may think its really fast, (its better than my cop out rig)
but as he has a decent graphics card with Vram running at 7000 mhz upgrading the ram to maybe 1866 would give maybe 4 frames / second.
DDR3 ram currently is cheap, but you wont get huge gains whilst running a graphics card.
If he had less ram it might be more of an issue.
