I had a geforce fx 5900xt a long time ago, then the fan dies and since it had a lifetime warranty, I sent it in for replacement and BFG sent me back a geforce 7300GT instead (card now does a great job displaying the windows desktop on my data server)

[citation][nom]rambo117[/nom]lol, I like how the GeForce 5 series was skipped[/citation]

No, it's because Nvidia couldn't dig up photos of it for us.

Aww i saw my old beloved GeForce MX440 64mb and GeForce TI 4600 series :p

never was a fan of 5000 series. ATi had much better card. I bought the ATi 9800 XT over the GeForce 5000

[citation][nom]nforce4max[/nom]Hey you left out the dustbuster and a few others but ok posting. How about the NV1.http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:NV1_GPU.jpg[/citation]

Yeah I tried to get them to send me the very first NV1 but they didn't have a die shot. But actually if you visit their office, they have a die shot hanging on the walls.

G71, slightly crippled (7900 GS). It's old now, but it matches my PD and destroys almost anything I could afford to upgrade to (student budget).

Of course, the old 5200 LE PCI. Terribad, but the mobo had no AGP and the card played KOTOR.

I was Nvidia for a while. I remember my 2 MX 400 (which is lying around somewhere still) and my 8600 GTS. Ever since the 9x series, I've been ATI...

Well, I honestly have to say that the MX 400 still beats the GMA 950... xD

I've had a TNT 1 (Viper V550), still remember playing Quake 3 on my old 29" TV, awesome for 1999. Had the Viper V770 Ultra (TNT2), awesome! Geforce 256 32mb, then Geforce4 MX440, Geforce 4 Ti4600 (MSI), a Geforce 5900XT, Geforce 6600GT 128MB, Geforce 6800GT and finally a 7300GT, lastly a 9600GT after that one only ATI!!!

"While gamers were torn between 3dfx's Voodoo/2 and TNT"

Unless you were lucky enough to of owned both. One of my best early gaming rigs Contained:

Asus P2B
Intel PII-400
768MB PC-133
16MB TNT
12MB Voodoo 2
8GB WD HDD
Sound Blaster Live!
Creative 5x DVD and Dxr2 Decoder
Win98SE

The most compatible and stable system (Hardware wise anyway) i ever owned and it still runs to this day. Makes me want to dig out my Mechwarrior 2: Titanium Collection and play it all over again.
