High Resolution Monitor Suggestions

I am seeking a high resolution monitor for primarily movie watching. I am not looking for a gaming monitor because I do not do much gaming but if there is something out there that someone can suggest that possibly is good for Blu Ray watching that is very clear and high resolution that is what I am really looking for.

Whats you budget and are you looking to get into a 4k monitor for your pc?

If you are just watching high-res movies I would put more attention on the type of panel rather than the resolution. 1080/1440p will do just fine. If you are aiming for 4k I would suggest going for a tv instead, which will give you a bigger screen at less cost than a monitor equivalent. Also most TVs have a glossy screen rather than an antiglare coating like most monitors do, which makes the image look more vivid and makes colors pop more, and since you are not a hardcore gamer, latency won't be an issue.
