I have an Asus Zenbook UX303L and it comes with 1 sata ssd and one m.2 ssd. i was wondering if i got a new m.2 ssd would i get one of the ones that can reach over 1GB/s or can laptops not support those m.2 cards?

Solution
Ok keep in mind there are M.2 SSD and M.2 NVMe SSD's. THEY ARE DIFFERENT. One uses a SATA 6Gpbs interface the other uses PCIe lanes.

Now looking for UX303L I don't find that exact model. I think that is a family. There is a LB LN and a LA. After looking things up it seems as if they are not M.2 but mSATA SSD's. So double check! You can use a program like Crystal Disk info to get the Model of the SSD or go into Device Manager and go under Disk Drives, google the Model number and check to see what it is.

From what i also see is that it is a half height mSATA which i don't there are any over 256GB.

Now unless there is an actual UX303L model that has a M.2, which i can't find that one, that is your options.
