High temp readings on a a10-7870k amd chip

I recently installed an ASUS a88x-plus mobo with a new AMD A10-7870K chip. I am growing ever more concerned that I did something wrong when placing the heatsink, as I am getting very high readings on cpu package temp in both HWinfo and HWmonitor. On the other hand, the ASUS AI suite 3 application is showing drastically lower cpu temps. Screenshot after about 10min of prime95:

What I am wondering is, which numbers should I believe ?

For some reason the AMD Overdrive software instantly reboots the pc as soon as I click the "ok" button on the prompt window. If AI Suite's temp readings are correct then that is a relief
