Question High temps and strange noises

about a month ago i got a pc from pc specialist with a 2060 super. and since it came out of the box the gpu sometimes makes fairly loud whining sounds while under load that fade in and out. The gpu idles at around 50°C and goes anywhere between 77-83°C while under load with the fans around 60-70% speed according to msi afterburner. The card is also fairly loud at these speeds when people i know who have this card said it is quiet. I dont have a problem with the noises as long as it is not a sign something will go wrong in the future and i just want to make sure that this wont affect performance in games either. (Sorry if this paragraph is a mess im tired) Also on another note, is there a benchmarking software that i can enter my specs into that predicts what score i should be getting and compare it to what i get? Just worried that my pc isnt performing as expected some how and i want to make sure everything is good while im still under warranty. Thanks again

Sounds like coil whine.

The gpu idles at around 50°C and goes anywhere between 77-83°C while under load with the fans around 60-70% speed according to msi afterburner.

Idle temp is normal.
83C is thermal throttle temp, so it makes sense the fans would be running that high.

Post the PC's full specs, please - or you can do 1 of the following instead:
1)https://www.userbenchmark.com/
Post the link to your results - it'll contain most of the PC's specs, save for the case and power supply make and model, so if you could provide that as well...

2)Download and run HWINFO: https://www.hwinfo.com/
Leave the 2 checkboxes unchecked and click Run.

Highlight everything that appears in the new window and copy-paste it here.

Sounds like a fan that has bad bearings, at certain rpms it'll make a racket. Sorta like a tire that's out of balance only gets really bad at certain mph, but smooths out below/above that speed range.

Pop the side panel and during that noise period it'll be obvious as to whether it's coil whine, which is a higher pitched nails on a chalkboard noise, or fan bearings which are a lower pitched thrumm sound.

The results from the test were fine but the temperature barely increased throughout any of the test

i didnt think it sounded like coil whine i was hearing in videos but i was just assuming thats what it was its like a buzzing sound that fades in and out almost like electric hair clippers or something

If it's sounding like a buzzing, I'd do a good inspection of the fans, it could be a wire hitting the blades under the shroud, or even a piece of packing or dirt that's stuck under the shroud. If something is actually hitting the blades, it can slow them down, which will decrease airflow across the heatsink, thereby allowing higher temps.

Nothing particularly stands out as odd there.
I'd suspect you're not running into temp issues with the 2060 Super in the short term, but long term sessions where at 83C(default thermal limit) the gpu fans really get cranking.
Have you already experimented with custom fan curves via Msi Afterburner or EVGA Precision X?

You should check the fans as Karadjgne suggested to be sure.
