I just discovered that my cisco linksys rvs4000 router was severely limiting(40Mps) my download speed from my isp which is providing 200mbs speeds.

I need a new router. I was thinking of using an Asus Rt-n56u as a router due to its throughput.
But, I would like to assign static ip addresses in the router for my LAN devices.

Does the Asus RT-n56u allow me to do that? My asus acrh13 (AC1300) does not give me that option

A static IP address can be set for any device that allows it around any router, as long as it is outside of the DHCP range.

But yes, the RT-N56U does have a manual IP assignment feature.

Thank you for replying.

I went to the link you provided and indeed it does have capabilities for statis IP addresses.
It is odd that my Asus ach13 does not have that feature! The setup appears very similar but
the static ip address definition section is missing!

Thank you for responding
