Hello everyone ! I believe I have a CPU (i5-6500 running with GTX 1070) problem. Every time I play video games the CPU usage spiked really high and sometimes up to maximum in the lowest settings. Here are some examples (All the games' resolution is 1920×1080, some in Full-Screen some in Border-less):
Tomb Raider 2013 in highest settings.
Borderlands 2 in lowest settings (spiked up to maximum) while this is in highest settings (it spiked up to maximum for a bit then drop down to ~65%.
Left 4 Dead 2 in the highest settings.
I tested a game named "10 Second Ninja X", a platform video game that eating around 35% of the CPU power.
Shadow of The Tomb Raider in lowest settings spiked up to maximum while in highest settings the usage running around 60%-85%.
Same here with GTA V in lowest settings while in very high settings it runs stable at ~65%-70%.
I have checked the temperature when in maximum usage, the cores are all around 40°C - 47°C. I have updated all the drivers with Snappy Driver as well, but the BIOS is still in the ver. 2016 (which I'm not sure if this is the culprit). The CPU is used and was given to me from a friend. Before this, I was using AMD FX-6300, and I have never encounter this problem before for older video games such as Borderlands 2/Tomb Raider 2013/L4D 2.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone would help me shed some light on this problem, since I don't want to damage the CPU.
Thank you.
