When i overclock it up to 47, it needs around 1.40 core voltage to not crash when booting up or stress-testing. I think this is pretty high, when compared to vids on youtube and threads about people getting it up to the same point, with 1.330 volt or lower. The temps are fine though, running stress-testing on 64 degrees celsius, and when playing Battlefront 2 , its around 60-65. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Its fine to have it on 1.42v as long as u can maintain low...
Its all about silicon, pretty sure u have heard what silicon lottery is. I could achieve 4.8 on my 6700k needed around 1.370V.
Also make sure u check VCORE in your HWmonitor (software) in windows, as far as i remember your motherboard doesnt have LLC control that prevents voltage drop. So compare voltage in windows and what u set it to be in Bios. Also use manual voltage if u want to push it over 4.6

Ye, im of course using manual voltage. Thats why it crashes if too low. One thing, is it dangerous to have higher voltage than 1.42, even if the temps are lower than 80? Thanks for the quick response. i dont think this processor came great out of the lottery :)

Its fine to have it on 1.42v as long as u can maintain low temperatures, well under 80C for everyday use, is what i prefer.

What I would consider if I were you was the risk verses reward... At 4.8 you are running higher voltage to get stable... Your temps are fine and such, but what are you temps and voltage at 4.6? I bet you'll find that it is significantly lower and I think the difference would be negligible between 4.6 and 4.8...

Personally I run my 6700k at 1.25 at 4.6... It can do up to 5.0, but I have to jack the power up to 1.45 to do it and I'm not comfortable with it... On a day to day basis... :) Now, for benchmarking just for bragging rights... That's another story! :)
