Yup, as much as it annoys me sometimes -- because I haven't found it practical to give in to my usual upgrade impulses and upgrade my 3770k -- it's still a very good CPU, if somewhat slower than the 7700k. I'm hoping Ice Lake gives me sufficient excuse to upgrade.
the core count is definitely tempting, especially as more new gen games starting to use the extra available threads. In the end though, it all comes back to the price/performance ratio
either the Ryzen 2.0 / the Ice lake, i wonder which will prevail
i7 3770k is still great and upgrading to i7 7700k really isn't worth it imo :v
(since there's so much to change needs to be done, like RAM and mobo)
