Higher end video cards that pull less than 75 watts

Got a Dell Optiplex DT (smaller than a tower) with small 300 Watt Seasonic PSU. PSU does not have a 6 pin power connector for an extra 75 watts. I wouldn't consider myself anything more than a casual gamer(playable 1080p framerates would be fine) and don't really want the extra heat that more power would produce anyway.. Here is the cards I have that could possibly work:

Geforce 730 GT
Geforce 740 GT
Geforce GTX 750
Geforce GTX 750 ti
Radeon R7 250
Radeon HD 7750

I know there is tons of variants of different cards out there that I don't know about and I just started to get into PC gaming so would anyone have an idea on any other cards I should look into? Thanks in advance for any help!

Which optiplex model you have, some of them can fit dual bracket (newer models) and some, only single bracket (olde models), but there is possibility to use RISER, which is Dell proprietary, so Optiplex model is a must here?

And which model of Seasonic is inside, I know those TFX PSUs, just need confirmation that they can fit into DT. Is it loose, or screws on the back panel aligned well, or there is special plate for screws alignment?

Yeah, this one fit.. SS-300TFX. A little bit smaller than the stock one actually. Cabling was ugly though, didn't give as much as the stock one did. Screw holes didn't line up perfectly, but I managed with some shimming.

It's an optiplex 790. Only riser card I know that is available is just PCI..

This is your Optiplex 790 DT

Technically those 2 cards should fit

MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti N750ti-2GD5TLP 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5

GIGABYTE GV-N75TOC-2GL G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5

What concerns me, when you take a look at the back slot structure near white PCI slot, if you remove it, does it opens 2 slots, or only 1 slot, if 2 slots, you will have a hole, 1 slot wide if you use Gigabyte, which is a very small bit stronger than MSI, like a few percent. MSI fits perfect, it is only 1 bracket wide.

And this is the strongest low profile card in the WORLD AFOX HD 7850 AF7850-2048D5L1

But it is not sold in USA, Europe and Asia only and this is very expensive, and need 130 watt alone vs 60 watt for GTX 750TI

This is it.

If Gigabyte fits, it is basically personal preference. MSI will run a bit cooler due to 2 fans, case closed.

This is full height , just very compact card - since we need low profile, this one is not applicable here, I seen this one before.

That is a different type of suggestion - new system build, salvaging only power supply and hard drive, DVD drive and maybe RAM.

OP will need new CPU, motherboard, case and WIN OS, at least.

Thanks for your time and information! If I understand correctly, I think your talking about the card slot retainers in the bracket that snaps into the case... They come out individually...

So were thinking I'm not going to be happy with anything other than a 750 ti then?

Nope, not in Europe. Actually I was wondering about the other cards I listed.. If they would actually do decent framerates at 1080p.

I can not say anything more - GTX750TI all the way, if your budget permits.

Is this the reason you asked for other options?

I can spring for the card if I won't be happy with any others. I always keep my 'builds' as budget as possible cause so much of this stuff is overpriced and is marketed to encourage overkill... Maybe I should just find a new hobby? :)

Using cheaper cards is the COMPLETE WASTE of your CPU, and you can not just fit larger and stronger cards.

See, Dell took a good care of your budget, even if you want to spend more - you can not. Stay with GTX 750TI and be happy, it is already budget deal, thanks going to Dell, LOL
