Higher Latency on the servers that are in my city lower on foriegn servers

So, I play CSGO and I usually get a latency of 20 - 30 ms but every hour or two something happens and I start getting a latency of 230 to 300 ms on the servers that are from my own city that is Delhi. Where as other people get their normal ping. When I get a higher ping on the Indian server that is above 200+ I strangely get lower ping on SE asian servers that is of 133 constant. And after the recent website bans I don't even get 30 ping anymore. Can some onw tell me what is wrong?

turn your router off for a minute then turn it back on. other than that it may just be your isp getting to much traffic at that moment

I don't have a router just my modem. Sometimes while playing I would get disconnected and after that diconnect my ping would rise. My ping never rose during a game but only after a D/connection in between the game. But now it is constant for week that I am getting a high ping.

You would have to run lots of tracert to try to find where the difference is....in most cases you can't fix it.

As a extreme example of why the location of the server means nothing. Lets say your neighbor across the street has server and you both use ISP1. The traffic will likely go to the ISP office and back to his house, would be nice if it could directly across but no so much a option. Now lets say you use ISP1 and your neighbor uses ISP2. His ISP tries to save money and only buys a connection to ISP1 say in the USA. So now your traffic must go all the way from india to the USA and then back to just go across the street.

The optimum place for a server would be on the same ISP as you. It generally gets the best path but of course even your ISP can have overloaded network connection at times. In the real world the traffic goes though many ISP and even worse the traffic can go on 1 path to the server and a different path coming back. Tracert will only show you the path to the server.

There are public tracert servers called looking glass that let you do trace from some ISP.

So you can likely dig around and find interesting stuff but you likely will not get your problem fixed.

But what about when I get better ping on the same servers. I mean I've played on most of the Indian Community servers and they all give me the same ping and even Valve's official servers. I get connected to SE Asian servers when I get higher ping on official servers.
