Higher Memory Usage After Upgrade To 6GB RAM

So i just upgraded my laptop to 6GB ram yesterday, and today I noticed something. I am using about 2.9-3.1gb of that with processes that don't seem to add up to that number. Mind you, I haven't exactly done the math but still.. I don't remember ever using this much memory with what I have running before I upgraded. I actually saw it hit 4GB of usage while I was watching youtube videos earlier. Thats what my TOTAL RAM was before I upgraded and I NEVER totally out the ram when I had 4gb unless I was playing a high memory usage game like SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) and forgot to close my browser before I loaded in.

UPDATE: I ran memtest all night with no errors just to be safe, and took this screenshot just after I booted up this morning. Look at the memory usage listed on my coretemp gadget and then at task manager. That does not look like 1.8gb of processes.
