Im looking to get my first curved ultrawide 1440p monitor but I don't want to spend a huge amount of money so was looking at AOC, spotted these two which are almost identical besides refresh rates.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...een-led-backlit-gaming-monitor-mo-05a-ao.html ~ £370
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...een-led-backlit-gaming-monitor-mo-059-ao.html ~£450

Was hoping to make this a long term purchase and wanted to experience 144hz for the first time aswell so I'm willing to pay the £80 premium for the 144hz monitor. But after brief research around the topic I've seen that high refresh rates don't do well with low response times and that the "1ms" quoted is likely to be false on a VA panel. Not very educated on the subject so would this make the upgrade from 100hz to 144hz pointless/less worth the extra than I'd have thought?

I'd say don't do it. It just isn't as clear as tn or ips for a true high hz experience. Va still needs improvement to compete at high hz (ips had the issue before and now it's good to go.) https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-cu34g2x/ This review goes in depth and compares the aoc cu34g2x with tn and there is a clear difference in ghosting. It also compares different hz. Even at 100hz it's not worth it so save some money with 60hz va or go with a tn/ips 144hz.

Do you have any suggestions as to which models I could look at that are available now or releasing relatively soon that are tn/ips with high refresh rate and also 1440p ultrawide? Looking more for a bang for buck kinda deal rather than super high end though. I know these don't start cheap but still don't want to drain the bank account too much.
