what happened to the ecs black edition? it was rumored to have 800+ on the core clock

^ they realized that because it was made by ECS, no-one would buy it because they have a poor reputation.

the important factor there is the warranty.. not the brand..

The warranty and customer service is one of the reasons they have a poor reputation. Plus from what I am told (this is simply hear-say though) ECS has a bad happen of cards going bad. Again this is all word of mouth from people I know who buy them, but then I guess that is who you should ask to know is the people who buy it.
