lol - moderately amusing comment.

ROFL - amusing comment provoking a slight chuckle.

LMAO - very amusing comment provoking outright laughter.

Another one I've heard IT pros use is the ID 10 T error. When closely space ID 10 T is ID1OT.

That came from the military (pebkac might have as well as thats where I first heard it 12 years ago) but id 10 t error is spoken as " i d 10 tango"
