The fan control lights on my NZXT Phantom case randomly started flickering and making sounds. This has never happened before, and seems to have just started today after I attempted to raise my 4.2 OC to a 4.3

I've since taken my OC back down to 4.2 but that hasn't stopped the issue, and it seems to be directly related to whether or not the fan on the top of my case is spinning or not.

I cannot imagine that this is in any way good for my computer, but I have no idea what the cause is.

No, I didn't. The OC worked fine on the old voltage I had, unless for some reason my voltage changed automatically and I didn't know about it. Do you think it might be too high?

My CPU is an i7 3770K with an ASUS P8Z77-V LK mobo. I've OCed before on this system, to do it this time I simply bumped the CPU ratio up from 4.2 to 4.3, but I guess it's time to dig into it and clear the Cmos.

On the off chance that doesn't fix it, what would you recommend I do next?

I haven't, but I'll try that before I clear the Cmos.

I've tried turning the power supply off and letting the system drain, then I tried clearing the Cmos. Neither of those fixed the problem.

Again, it only happens when my top fan is spinning, but aside from that I don't know what could be causing the problem.
