Many times when I am in "gamezone" playing hearts, my pc freezes: I cannot
play a card or send a message, yet my modem status shows data being sent and
received. I have Macafee Security Center and SpyBot Search and Destroy.
Neither comes up with anything. Windows xp Internet Explorer 6.0. Also pc
runs slower getting to websites than it should. Any help would be
appreciated. I am for all intents and purposes, basically computer
illiterate. Thanks again--

It's more likely that a hacker has flooded the lobby and is causing the
freeze. But any ad in the lobby could be causing the freeze, if your
browser downloads a damaged copy. Other causes could be an
incompatibility between software running in the background and the Zone
software, either zfriends, zproxy or zone. The next time there's a
freeze, depress Ctrl/Alt keys and tap the Delete key. Look through the
running tasks for one that isn't responding, or one that's using about
100% of the processor time. That is possibly the cause.

As a test, disable McAfee and other software running in the background.
If a particular program is always running when the problem occurs, it's
probably the cause. Either disable it when in the Zone, or remove, then
reinstall it.

Look at the NibblesNbits site for more suggestions:
