Before the weekend I would like to purchase a new system.
Here I have a setup of what my local store has to offer and what reviews said about them.
Hoping I could get some advice since I want to make an AMD build.
Been using Intel for years so I thought let's try AMD.

Case: Fractal Design Define R4
PSU: Be Quiet DarkPower Pro 650W
Motherboard: Asus M5A87 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-9590
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 2x8GB 1600 C9
HDD: Seagate SSHD 2TB
GPU: Sapphire R9 290X
OS: Win 8.1 64bit

This setup will be used for normal use and gaming.
Will not be used for overclocking.
Am wondering how much noise the GPU makes.
Since I want it to be as quiet as possible.

Hope you guys can help and advice.

Thnx in advance

The Fractal Design R4 is a FANTASTIC case (See avatar lol). It has padding along the inside to help reduce noise. Is your model with or without a window? Window models are slightly louder. The build looks good. And GPU won't be too loud.

It's windowless and yeah I have seen like a dozen of reviews on the case, I almost went for the Coolermaster Silencio.
I am still curious about the airflow in the R4 since the GPU has like 2 small airflow intakes at the end.
I heard the card itself ran at about 95celsius wich is normal claims AMD.
But still don't want to try to build a silent system when the gpu doesn't want to help me out.

With, say, the 280x you have other companies, Sapphire, HIS, ASUS.. With their own models with different cooling techniques. All of the 290X are the Reference black and red cards with one crappy fan.

So I should wait with my purchase?

I don't have money growing on my back lol.
Hope there is a watercooler for the card later on.
