[SOLVED] HIS 7970 IceQ X² 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E Fans Have Never Turned

Hi.

I built a PC a few years ago using a HIS 7970 IceQ X² 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E as the graphics card. There are 6 and 8 pin power connectors (1x 6-pin + 1x 8-pin ).

I have used both the latest dedicated HIS drivers and also the latest AMD software-detected drivers.

The fans have never turned/spun and I now need them to spin.

What have I not done right?
I can't see any other connectors for fans (none in manual that I can see).
Could a power supply connector be dud?

Any advice would be appreciated.

install MSI Afterburner and create a custom fan curve to force the fans to spin.
