Im being offered the HIS 7850 2gb as a at cost upgrade, from the company that built my computer. To replace my 6850 that died 6 weeks ago.

My question ism can i dual monitor with this card and if yes how would i go about setting it up?

I want Extended mode (gaming on one, w/e on the other)

My old card had dual dvi ports and this one doesn't.

Yes, you can.
It looks like the package includes a dvi/vga adapter which you can use to attach the second monitor.

Or, you could ask them to include a hdmi to vga adapter like this:

Once you have both monitors attached, right click on the desktop to set up extended display mode.
Gaming will get directed to the primary monitor.

Exactly you would set it up the same exact way you would with the other card you had connecting your monitors to the card with whatever adapter/s your card supports and placing your monitors into extended desktop.

But the simple adapter I linked to should work just fine reusing your current dvi cable.

I see no problem with using a vga connection at 1080P either.

Yea it would work fine with a vga cable but for quality I would stick to either DVI/HDMI both are capable of outputting 1080p
