well as the title said im looking to over clock it i just got it so im gonna let it run a couple of days before i do it but id like to get ready so what programs will i need it comes with overclocking software with a crappy prebuilt in overclock button but id like to know whats the hottest id ever want this card to get whats a good temp and so forth? what do you guys use to run it thru its paces to see if the overclock works?

I'd recommend keeping it under 80C, preferably around 70C or lower for gaming temps.

There are many programs that you can use. MSI Afterburner and Sapphire TRiXX are the usual choices, I prefer TRIXX.

EDIT: Correct me if I'm wrong, but Trixx can only be used for Sapphire cards right?

I've used it on cards that weren't Sapphire, so that's not true AFAIK.

I'd expect at least about 1.1GHz on the GPU frequency and at least about 1.35GHz on the memory frequency even if it's not a good card at overclocking. It'd probably be at least a 20% performance improvement or about the difference between, for example, about 40FPS and about 50FPS.
