His iceq x2 7970 or evga gtx 680

hi im not completely new to pc's but this will be my very 1st ever bought and built pc by myself and i was wondering what gpu would be better to go with for my gaming (cod4 bf3 LoL and watever else comes my way )

im undecided between the his iceq x2 7970 or the evga gtx 680 im planning on ordering next week hopefully so i can get it before christmas (pc is a present to myself lol) if i can get any input on what would be better and what not for me or personal thoughts would be greatly appreciated

GTx 680 is a better choice but at higher resolution than 1920X1200 it'll be slower than 7970... GTx 680 is faster but lack at higher resolution probably due to lower RAM but can also could beat 7970 at higher resolution in some games by a lot...

If I were you, I'd get the GTx 690, trust me it's ganna worth your money later in life because Mass Effect 4 coming in 2014 or 2015...

GTX 680 is better, HIS coolers sometimes dont work properly, safer bet to go with EVGA and a sexier card

you think 2GB isn't enough for 1920x1080? Im using my GTs 450 with 1GB with Samsung 245BW monitor at 1920x1200, im playing MW3 and Smite and other games just fine with 50+ FPS at max settings, MW3 uses 600MB of my VRAM, BF3 max settings uses around 1.2GB VRAM or so... Also if you dont think 2GB VRAM is enough, i'd recommend you get the 4GB version... The VRAM usage is actually based on the resolution and settings of the games...

No i never said that i was just clarifying that my monitor is that resolution not that the 2gb of vram isnt enough im just asking which card do people think i would be better suited with n im thinkin the gtx 680 signature 2 is what ill be getting sorry if i made you misunderstand me and thank you for that info
